      Due to increasing client demand, we recently started our application engineering department. Most of our clients are vehicle manufacturers and are looking to convert their products to full electric including scooters, motorbikes, go-carts, tuk-tuks, generators and even agricultural machinery and many more in the future!

      Saietta Applications Engineering now offers the full vehicle conversion service from the design stage through to parts procurement, the actual conversion and the testing on 20 miles of private test tracks in Upper Heyford, Oxfordshire.

      We have a fully equipped workshop with space for 4-5 simultaneous conversion projects and more space to expand in the future.

      We are looking for a motivated hands-on technician/coordinator to take charge of this workshop and who, like us, will get excited to convert existing petrol-powered vehicles to full electric.  When the conversion is completed, you will be responsible to test the application and fine tune the prototype to meet the clients’ expectations.

      The ideal candidate will be working with an extremely experienced and capable team that have built demonstrator vehicles and drivetrains that have set multiple worlds Firsts and records on land, sea and air.

      Key Responsibilities will include:

      • Provides hands-on support for all the incoming prototype projects: prototyping, building, assembling and vehicle testing  etc.
      • Responsible for requests for quotes for components and supplier selection.
      • To agree and deliver project targets to a high standard and on time.
      • To both identify the need for, and undergo any training that may be required to complete projects to the highest standard.
      • Responsible for continuous improvements of existing systems in support of the Applications Engineering department.
      • Follow guidelines set forth by the Client Organization and/or vehicle regulations standards.


      • Prototype experience.
      • Vehicle testing experience.
      • Knowledgeable in mechanical and electromechanical systems is essential, experience in electric drivetrain would be advantageous.
      • Battery management knowledge is preferable.
      • Have a ‘hands on’ and ‘can do’ attitude.
      • Display the ability to identify and resolve problems and issues.
      • Be innovative and proactive.
      • Keen to learn and develop with the company.
      • Basic Word and Excel skills would be an advantage.


      The transition to electric vehicle propulsion globally is unstoppable and the market growth is exponential, pushed by binding legislation and pulled by strong consumer demand. Saietta Group designs and manufactures ultra-efficient, power-dense, compact and lightweight electric motors for vehicle propulsion. Design is carried out at our global HQ in Oxfordshire, England and manufacturing is in a special economic zone in India, so we’re highly cost competitive too. We sell our products and services to clients globally across the transport sector.

      This role would suit an experienced technical sales manager who would like to apply their proven skills to the dynamic electric vehicle sector in a fast-expanding and ambitious company. The ideal candidate will be technically competent, motivated, inquisitive and will take on high levels of responsibility. The sales team works closely with the Applications Engineering Department to provide prototype engineering solutions for our clients.

      Key Responsibilities will include:

      • Develop and maintain a sound understanding of the technology underpinning our products and our competitors’ products.
      • Identify the relevant features and benefits for each target product sector/customer.
      • Establish and grow strong business relationships with existing customers globally.
      • Develop a broad database of prospective clients in each target product sector globally.
      • Research and analyse new market sectors/clients.
      • Maintain precise records of all customer/prospect profiles and communications in our system.
      • Define requirements for sales and marketing prospecting tools which help scale the business rapidly.
      • Handle all incoming sales enquiries from a variety of sources in a timely and effective manner.
      • Develop Engineering Consultancy Briefs and subsequently manage Applications Engineering projects within time, budget and quality parameters.
      • Provide customer and technical service support for distributors and direct clients.
      • Communicate and represent the brand appropriately at all times.
      • Provide after sales and servicing to our customers.


      • An Electrical/Mechanical or any other relevant Engineering Degree.
      • Extensive work experience in a sales/technical OR sales/commercial position which required a solid technical background.
      • Technical knowledge of drivetrains OR transmission systems OR relevant components is essential.
      • In-depth technical understanding of electric drivetrains (motors, controllers, batteries, transmission systems OR any other relevant elements) would be a major advantage.
      • Hands-on practical experience would be a plus.
      • Proficient in CAD and Excel is required (any other relevant design/simulation software would be appreciated).
      • Highly self-motivated with a proven record of successful Project Management or Account Management.
      • Strong interpersonal and communication skills both verbal and written in English (any other languages would be an advantage, especially Asian languages).
      • Willingness to travel both domestically and internationally.
      • Proven to be ambitious, determined and self-driven ability to work autonomously.


      The Quality System Coordinator will be responsible for supporting the company in developing and maintaining both our Document and Quality Management System.

      Role and Responsibility

      • Setup and maintenance of the Quality Management System.
      • Support the business with continual Quality Systems improvement.
      • Supporting the business with relevant compliance legislation and ensuring changes are reflected in policies and procedures.
      • Provide training to company employees on the Quality Management System in accordance to the organisations policies.
      • Manage and coordinate all internal audits.
      • Supporting the business with preparation for audit.
      • Maintain Quality System processes.
      • Keep Standards library up to date.
      • Managing the business Archiving process.


      • Degree qualified in a technical background would be advantageous.
      • Knowledge of international standards like ISO9001 or ISO26262 is important.
      • Knowledge and experience of creating and maintaining product E-markings.
      • Experience in working with and implementing MRP systems would be advantageous.
      • Solid organizational and multi-tasking skills, with attention to detail.
      • Advanced Excel skills.
      • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
      • Good interpersonal skills.


      To manage and carry out the design, prototype, test and release of all projects assigned to you as Project Lead in accordance with agreed development plans.

      Key Responsibilities

      • Design and develop new product concepts from initial ideas to production release.
      • Estimate and control the budget requirements for the project.
      • Use all relevant documentation to record and manage the projects from cradle to grave.
      • Agree and deliver project targets to a high standard and on time.
      • Creation of precision engineered parts and drawings to the latest standards.
      • Update BOMs within the project area.
      • Manage and participate in the manufacturing of project prototypes.
      • Manage and participate in the testing of design concepts.
      • Liaise and attend project review meetings to update managers on development through the project.
      • Liaise and attend meetings with other company functions necessary to perform duties and aid business and organisational development.
      • Suggest and attend any training that may be required to complete projects to the highest standard.
      • Help maintain and support any software supportive to your role.


      • Undergraduate degree in Mechanical or Automotive engineering.
      • Experience with 3D and creation of drawings (Solidworks preferred).
      • Experience of electro-mechanical systems is essential.
      • Broad knowledge of materials and manufacturing methods.
      • Experience of providing novel solutions to complex design issues.
      • Ability to manage Projects from cradle to the grave, along with evidence of achieving target requirements on cost and on time.
      • Experience of mechanical FEA analysis tools and packages preferred, not essential.
      • Knowledge of electric drive trains is an advantage.
      • Sound understanding of safety requirements.
      • Good problem solver with high attention to detail.
      • Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team.
      • Methodical and focused personality.
      • Hands on build and test experience preferred.
